Marshall Bird, has extensive experience in Immigration, and Business and Real Estate law and investment in the United States of America and New Zealand.

As an Attorney at Law in Beverly Hills, California, he advised clients on business buy-outs and startups, and handled immigration cases for many high-profile clients. His articles on working and obtaining residence in the USA have appeared in a number of publications, including Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
​
In New Zealand, where he is a Barrister and Solicitor, he founded this law firm which also specializes in business, real estate and immigration, consular and refugee law.
​
Marshall is one of the best-known names in the field of Creative Business Financing and Business Startups both online and offline. He has hands-on experience starting, buying and running successful real world and online ventures and one that didn’t work - which makes his insights especially valuable!

In California he co-produced videos that have been seen around the world - one featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, another the famed dog-trainer, Barbara Woodhouse - and was the executive in charge of production of the 26-part TV series "Explore," with James Coburn.

In New Zealand, Marshall founded and controlled a daily newspaper and a successful multimedia publishing company that produces programs on innovative business startup, financing and marketing strategies.

Aimee leads the commercial and property law practice at Bird & Yang. She has extensive experience in commercial and property-related matters, including day-to-day contracting and legal issues that may arise in business operations, business structure, company law matters, property development, and leasing. She has previously worked in corporate & finance teams at a leading international law firm in Hong Kong, specialising in public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Aimee is a trusted adviser to a broad range of corporate and private clients. She has a particular focus on the property sector, including residential and commercial property sale and purchase, leasing, and overseas investment.
Aimee has advised and appeared in Court on a wide range of commercial and civil litigation disputes including contractual issues, tortious liability, insurance, liquidations, statutory demands, caveats, enforcement of and resisting enforcement of foreign judgments.

Aimee also deals with a broad range of visa applications, with a focus on residence and business/investment visas.

Aimee has established a network of experienced colleagues she can call upon for assistance in fields outside her field of expertise.

Julia Huang first completed a Bachelor of Law at Peking University, before pursuing a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). These studies provided her with a strong academic foundation and an international perspective in corporate and commercial law.

Following graduation, Julia practised as a commercial lawyer in China for several years, advising businesses on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters.
​
After relocating to New Zealand, Julia became a Licensed Immigration Adviser and established her own immigration advisory firm, where she assisted many clients with migration and settlement needs. She later completed a second Bachelor of Laws at Auckland University of Technology and qualified as a New Zealand Barrister and Solicitor.
​
Today, Julia practises across corporate and commercial law, property law, immigration law, family law, and employment law. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, and with professional experience in both China and New Zealand, Julia is well positioned to serve clients from diverse cultural and commercial backgrounds.

Ming has a Bachelor in Investment and Economic Management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. She has professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant in China, along with Securities, Funds, and Futures qualifications.

From July 1997 to October 2011, Lu Ming embarked on her professional journey at Dalian Huanyu United Accounting Firm. She began as a project assistant and steadily progressed through various roles, including project manager, senior project manager, department manager, and eventually becoming a partner. Her extensive responsibilities included conducting audits, including annual financial statement audits and special audits, as well as providing appraisal and financial consulting services, along with specific operational guidance and reviews.
​
Notably, from 2007 onwards, Lu Ming also served as a financial review expert for Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, participating in the evaluation of high-tech enterprises in Dalian. Starting in 2009, she took on the role of a part-time inspector for the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants, contributing to the annual inspection of accounting firms in Liaoning Province.

In the period from August 2015 to February 2018, she worked at Changjiang Securities Co., Ltd. Dalian Branch in the Corporate Finance Department, holding the position of Senior Business Manager. Her primary responsibilities included recommending NEEQ concept stock listing services and providing due diligence services for corporate investments.

Rockie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international business in 2006. After working for a well-known chain brand in New Zealand for 6 years, he became a franchisee of the same brand in 2013 and continued working for 9 years. During his tenure as a business owner, the company's staff grew from 8 to 20 people, and the revenue increased by over 60%. They served several thousand clients and established strong relationships with many of them.

In early 2023 Rockie joined Bird & Yang, taking on the roles of Office Manager & Legal Executive. Currently, he primarily handles real estate transactions and loan-related matters. Providing wholehearted service to clients has always been Rockie's consistent commitment.
