MARSHALL BIRD

LLM – University of Michigan, USA

LLB – University of Auckland, New Zealand

Immigration, Business, and Investment

Marshall Bird was the founder of Bird & Yang Law Limited and devoted his career to helping clients navigate complex legal, business and immigration matters in both New Zealand and the United States.

Marshall had extensive experience in immigration, business and real estate law, as well as business investment, in both jurisdictions.

As an Attorney at Law in Beverly Hills, California, he advised clients on business acquisitions, start-ups and immigration matters for many high-profile clients. His articles on working and obtaining residence in the United States were published in a number of respected publications, including Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

After returning to New Zealand, where he practised as a Barrister and Solicitor, Marshall founded Bird & Yang Law Limited. Under his leadership, the firm developed a strong reputation in business, property, immigration, consular and refugee law.

Marshall was also widely recognised for his work in creative business financing and business development. Throughout his career he established, acquired and managed a wide range of successful businesses, giving him practical commercial experience that complemented his legal practice.

Outside the law, Marshall had an accomplished career in media and publishing. In California, he co-produced internationally distributed productions, including projects featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and renowned dog trainer Barbara Woodhouse, and served as executive in charge of production for the 26-part television series Explore, hosted by James Coburn.

In New Zealand, Marshall founded and managed a daily newspaper and a successful multimedia publishing company producing programmes on innovative business start-up, financing and marketing strategies.

Marshall's integrity, entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to his clients continue to shape the values of Bird & Yang Law Limited. His legacy lives on through the firm he established and the people he mentored.
